  1. Eat 5 to 6 small meals per days. Men consume 1800 calories or less and women should consume 1600 calories or less.
     
  2. Aerobic activity 5 times per week, 20 to 30 minutes duration. Try fast pace walking, elliptical, Stairmaster, biking or stationary biking (make sure you have back support), jogging or swimming.
     
  3. Eliminate junk carbs ...... essentially anything considered junk food. You can have 1 day a week to eat your favorite junk food but otherwise strive to eat clean.
     
  4. Include berries, apples, beets and grapefruit in your diet. These foods are proven to flush or burn fat.
     
  5. Plan your meals. Always know what will be going in your mouth.
     
  6. Avoid all or nothing attitude. On days when you eat unplanned junk food, don’t give yourself permission to eat more. Forgive yourself and strive to eat “good” foods for the remaining day.
