Dear Editor, I need some effective advice on dieting. I'm always trying to lose weight without much success. I really don't like the weight I've gain. What advice can you give on losing weight and keeping it off. Dear Reader, The answer simple ..... Diet and Exercise. However, it's your approach to dieting that will make you successful. Instead of starving yourself, eat every 2 or 3 hours. Plan each meal. Eliminate simple carbs which come in the form of re-fined sugar. Eliminate bread unless it's whole grain. Eat a basic meat with 2 veggies. Chicken breast with green beans and spinach are great for lunch or dinner. It doesn't matter what meat you eat, just keep the portion to 4 to 6 ounces. Don't skip breakfast and have a mid morning snack. Effective dieting depends on eating regularly to keep your metabolism running high. Unfortunately, most people do just the opposite and go 4 or 5 hours without eating. Incorporate a walking routine
for 30 minutes a day at a fast pace. Walk 6 days a week and write down /
plan your meals. Yes, losing weight takes planning and dedication but
once you get started the proper way, it's actually easy.
