Dear Editor, Please give me your top 3 exercise routines for losing weight, and could you tell me the best time of day to exercise. I want to start new routines but I need the right exercises to lose weight. ~~ Jason Dear Jason, Ok, the best exercise routines in our opinion are as follows:
Cycling The reason why cycling is our favorite exercise to burn calories is more out of convenience. You can cycle any time and any place. If you like the outdoors, get your bike out and ride for 30 minutes. Unfortunately, most people have busy schedules and can't always find time to ride outdoors, which is why we like stationary cycling routines much better. Riding a stationary bike indoor and in front of your television is the fastest and most enjoyable way to burn extra calories. Cycle at a moderate pace and before you know it, you're finished. There's NO EXCUSE for missing your exercise routines because you can ride a stationary bike anytime. Swimming Swimming burns lots of calories and the resistance of water works all your muscles. The problem with swimming is more about access. If you have access to a pool (particularly an indoor pool), then lap swim everyday for 20 to 30 minutes. Fast Pace Walking Walking is more practical than swimming because you can do it any time. Just be sure to walk 30 minutes or longer, 4 to 6 times a day at a fast pace. To get the most benefit from your exercise routines, you have to get your heart rate in the fat burning zone. This range is 50% to 60% of it's maximum rate. You must walk at a fast pace to achieve this. Most people walk to slow to get the fat burning benefit. As far as the best time of day
to exercise, any time will do. Your mission is to make exercise a daily
habit. However, we like to recommend that you exercise first thing in
the morning. Wake up 30 minutes early and get to it.
