Losing Body Fat - Food for the Spirit


 

Reducing body fat can certainly bring it's share of trouble. Life is a never ending battle of cares and responsibilities. The reason we tend to overeat and become fat is because of the pressures of life. You know, the nagging boss, caring for the children, never ending to-do list, the daily frustrations of life. All the pressure and problems of life can become too much so we seek release through food, sex and pleasure. 

Look at the advertising on television and billboards. What tactics do they use to get you to open up your pocketbook? The basic urges of the body.... food, sex and pleasure which appeal to our basic nature but are they really fulfilling?

Look at A &E Biography on television sometime. They showcase the rich and powerful and wouldn't you know it, with all that money and power, they display the same insecurities and  problems that  most of us deal with.   Biography is a life lesson that money, power and a beautiful body can't buy happiness.

Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with losing / reducing body fat and improving your mind and body. That's the purpose of this website; to improve your body and burn fat. However, everything has a proper place in life. Having and knowing a higher power is almost mandatory  in this crazy world.

Tap into God's resource by slowing down the hectic day and spending more time with our creator. You can do this by praying or talking to God in everyday language.

He created you, so he certainly understands everything about you. If you want to know more about him, pick up the bible and read Matthew, John and Mark. There you will find detail descriptions of the life of God's son, Jesus, who came to to this earth to redeem us.

The books of the bible may sound like a fairy tale to some, but I challenge you to pick up the good book and read the chapters little by little. Then make a decision whether God is who he said he is, or Jesus is who he said he is. Don't take anyone's word, read for yourself and come to your own conclusions.

Get to know and depend on the Lord. I guarantee you will wonder how you ever lived without him in your life. Just some thoughts to feed the spirit.
