Dear Editor,
I'm struggling to lose weight
and I've just recently reduce my overall calorie intake between 1000 and 1200
calories per day. The problem I'm having is during the middle of
the day (between lunch and dinner), I get very hungry. Do you recommend
some type of meal replacement during that period of time? I try to
ignore the hunger pains but I'm afraid I will eventually overeat if I
don't have an adequate meal replacement.

Dear Carol,
You are exactly right. It's very important to eat
something between lunch and dinner to keep from binging later. Since
most people are in a hurry and don't have time to prepare an adequate
meal, we recommend taking an easy meal replacement.
Quick meal replacement foods will help you through
the hunger pain and prevent you from overeating during your normal meal
time. Nutritional meal replacement will also give you that extra energy you need to keep you
going through the day. Meal replacements are an excellent way to keep
your blood sugar stable between meals, which helps you lose weight
faster and more efficiently.
The following are a few good meal replacements to
consider:
Smoothies
~ grocery store variety
~ chain smoothies shops (that serve
nutritional base smoothies)
- Robeks
- Jamba Juice
- Maui Wowi
- Jucie It Up!
- Tropical Smoothie Cafe
Other meal replacement ideas:
- Energy / Protein bars
- SlimFast Shake
- Low Carb / Breakfast Bars
- Protein Shakes
- Chicken Breast
