Do you know anything about the
raw food diet? I was surfing the net and came across it. The premise is
raw foods digest better and contain very little table sugar, therefore it's easier to lose weight on a raw food diet.
I would really
appreciate your opinion.

There is actually some merit to
this diet. Raw food implies natural foods. When you eat natural foods,
you don't eat junk carbs. Raw foods included plenty of fruits and
vegetables and very little meat because eating raw meat is not healthy.
On this premise, the raw food
diet is almost like a vegetarian diet. Most fruits and vegetable are low
in calories, high in fiber (for better digestion), and contain natural
sugars which is more easily broken down by the body than table sugar.
Of course to lose weight, you
don't have to go to such extremes. A diet low in table sugar, high in
fruits and vegetables that also include fish and poultry is a diet
that's easy to manage. The calories and junk carbs are low, so you will
naturally lose weight.
